Everyone in Anaheim is wondering when they will see this young star in the making in their rotation.
2. Ernie Alexander(AA)- Ernie the 1st round pick in 2006 currently has a 4-1 record with a 4.50 era. He is now 14-13 for his career. He is looking like he should join the rotation in 2009 or 2010.
3. Carter Schofield (AAA)- Carter is currently 2-1 with a 4.91 era. He has an impressive 30-15 career record.
4. Oswaldo Cairo (AAA)- Oswaldo has struggled coming back this from Elbow surgery which end his 2007 season. Oswald the first player picked by nr6229 ownership has showed great flash before the injury. He currently is sitting at 2-1 with a 7.24 era. 3 games ago he gave ownership some hope with 8 shutout innings against the Cardinals he had his season high 7k in that game.
5. Jeremi Hutton (AAA)- Jeremi came over in a trade with the Sentinels in 2007. He hasn’t disappointed this year hitting .317 with 12 hr and 34 knocked in. He is proving that he one day should be 3b of the future which could be very soon.
6. Marc Hardy (ML)- Mac currently is pitching in the 5 spot of the rotation. He joined Anaheim in a trade in 2005. He like Oswaldo was set back by elbow surgery but has since recovered. He is currently 1-1 with a 7.78 era.
7. Felipe Bautista (AA)- Felipe a 2nd round pick in 2006 by Anaheim is staying on pace to be in CF in the next couple of years. He is hitting .347 with 1 hr and 21 rbis. But he has currently walked 18 times while striking out just 11. This isn’t something new for his career he has 138 bb and 115 K.
8. Freddy Swindell (HiA)- Freddy has surprised a lot of people with his strong pitching. He was a 2nd round pick in 2007 which is looking like a pitching draft for Ana. He is 2-1 with a 4.35 era. Yet has 19 k to just 5 walks.
9. Carlos Ramirez (AA)- Carlos was a 3rd round pick in 2006. He currently is hitting .239 with 6 hr and 22 rbi. He should one day replace Fred Kelly on the Ana bench.
10. Javier Nieves (AAA)- Javier was an International FA in 2005. Javier is hitting .229 with just 3 rbi. But Ana doesn’t love him for his hitting its what he does behind the plate.
And then there is the surprise prospect who just keeps hitting for Anaheim.
Adam Underwood (AA)- Adam is a 10th round pick for the 2005 draft. He is currently hitting .337 with 9 hr and 28 rbi. He is currently hitting for his career .342 with 72 hr and 312 rbi.
